Catering Supplies and Repairs’ (CSR) team-up with Electrolux Professional in Scotland has been so popular that it is making a workshop day in Scotland a recurring event.

The ‘Great Kitchen, Great Results’ national programme began with a launch day at CSR’s Larbert headquarters on Thursday 12 March.

This gave local catering professionals an opportunity to discover how they can make the best use of equipment to prepare dishes in their own kitchens. The programme is run by Electrolux Professional’s team of development chefs, who boast 60 years’ experience in commercial kitchens.

The demonstration proved so successful that it will be a monthly event.

Pauline Cribb, CSR’s business development manager, told The Falkirk Herald: “We plan to have chefs giving demonstrations every month, with the next event due on 24 March. We are also keen to get schools involved, as well as the public and private sector.

“This facility is the first of its kind in Scotland and we want to give support to the catering industry.”

CSR was set up 35 years ago and current managing director Allan Pinkerton is looking forward to this new challenge.

He said: “Having worked with so many customers across Scotland, we’re keen to open our doors to any local catering professionals, who wish to find out more about some of the techniques recommended by one of the leading manufacturers of kitchen equipment.

“This is the first of what we hope will be a packed schedule of workshops over the course of the year, and we’re looking forward to bringing together a number of the region’s very own masterchefs.”

CSR recently won a contract with Four Seasons Health Care to look after its kitchen equipment across Scotland.
